Russian Red Gold Earrings

Russian Gold is a 22k alloy of gold and copper, with a rich, warm reddish gold. It is quite unmistakable once you see it. I am fascinated by old alloys that are rarely used today. I research the proportions and recipes to recreate them in my studio with good, old fashioned ingredients (no nickel or frakenmetals).

To show off the rich colour and beautiful patina this alloy develops, I designed these earrings, inspired by the hills and towering sky over them.

These are solid gold earrings. They are also available in other 18k gold alloys (yellow, rose or green)
